Subtitles

Subtitles are textual versions of the dialog in films and television programs, usually displayed at the bottom of the screen. They can either be a form of written translation of a dialog in a foreign language, or a written rendering of the dialog in the same language.

Known Formats:

.aqt, .jss, .sub, .ttxt, .pjs, .ssf, .srt, .ssa, .txt

Out of which we handle most of times the subtitle formats like srt,txt,sub,ssa etc

In srt and txt formats the subtitle Contents will be

Subtitle No,Time Duration and the Conversation in English

Downloading SubTitles

For downloading subtitles for the any Language films in English u can refer the sites:

where u can find subtitles for most of the movies

Editing Subtitles:

For editing the subtitles i mean(from 2 CD print to 1 CD/1 CD to 2 CD prints) we can use srt , txt formats.

we can edit subtitles by using softwares like Subtitle Workshop(for example)
all the functionalities are possible

Setting Delay,reduces time lag,coloring text anything possible

Conversion of 1 CD print to 2 CDs

1) Get the duration length of 2 CDs(like 1:35:45,1:23:34)
2) Using the Subtitle Workshop cut the subtitle nos according to 1:35:45 duration and save it in one file and remaining in other file
3) then we can adjust the time by setting the Time Delay option in Edit Menu..

In this way subtitles can be edited and desired subtitle files can be created..
